Gaza, Gaza Strip

Major religions: Islam (99%), Christian (1%)

% Unreached: 99%

Prayer needs

  • Pray for the few pastors who live and work in Gaza. With the ongoing violence and religious tension, it is an extremely hard place to minister.

  • Pray that people in Gaza will be able to receive Bibles and Christian literature. Pray that God's Word draws them to him.

  • Pray for protection of believers who are caught in the political crossfire. Pray that they would remain strong in the Lord during hard times.

Prayer starter

Where is the one who is wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the debater of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? For since, in the wisdom of God, the world did not know God through wisdom, it pleased God through the folly of what we preach to save those who believe. For Jews demand signs and Greeks seek wisdom, but we preach Christ crucified, a stumbling block to Jews and folly to Gentiles, but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God. For the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men. - 1 Corinthians 1:20-25

God, we proclaim peace to the Gaza Strip. Where there has been fighting and contention we pray for your Kingdom to come in and bring the solution for the pain that the people are experiencing. We ask for forgiveness to flow and in order for that forgiveness to flow we ask that they would have an encounter with Jesus where they come to know your true and personal forgiveness. Lastly we ask for your wisdom to come and invade every government official as they navigate the tensions in that city. We pray for peace.
