Prayer needs
Pray for peace and that relief shipments can get to the people. Pray that Christian relief agencies can get in and be protected from hostile political forces.
Pray that workers can train and teach local leaders. Pray that Sudanese Christians will then evangelize and disciple new believers to carry on the gospel, this helping new Churches to grow.
Pray that the government will treat non-Muslims fairly and will provide displays people with the aid they need.
Prayer starter
But we have this treasure in jars of clay, to show that the surpassing power belongs to God and not to us. We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not driven to despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed; always carrying in the body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be manifested in our bodies. - 2 Corinthians 4:7-10
Dear Lord, I pray for the people of Khartoum. I pray that the spirit of darkness would be crushed in the light of your word and your love. I pray that you would send forth laborers, that they would go with boldness, strength, and love—your love. I pray for the government and the power they have to rule the nation. I bind the spirit of hatred against their own people (within different tribes), that your love would completely switch things around.
