Prayer needs

• Pray that the king and the royal family would be moved by God to allow Christian worship. This is an important step toward more people hearing of Jesus.

• Pray that God would break the stranglehold of Islam in educational institutions, which requires that 70% of all education be devoted to the study of Islam.

• Pray for the underground church to grow strong and remain vibrant in the midst of persecution. Pray that they will endure with great joy.

Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God. - Hebrews 12:1-2

Lord Jesus, thank you for enduring the cross, for being the founder and perfecter of our faith and salvation. I pray for the people in Riyadh, in Saudi Arabia, that you open their eyes to see you; to see that salvation is found completely in you; to see your beauty and generosity and love. Let the believers in that city know that they are not alone, let them be inspired and encouraged by the faith and lives of all those that came before, and most of all by your own example.
