Prayer needs

  • The country is in need of strong, stable, and fair government.

  • Pray for peace in the city, that has been ravaged by warring factions. Pray the Taliban would allow believers to gather.

  • Pray that God would use difficult times to draw people to himself and advance his gospel. Pray that a viable fellowship of indigenous believers will be raised up in the city.

Prayer starter

For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who by their unrighteousness suppress the truth. For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them. For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse. For although they knew God, they did not honor him as God or give thanks to him, but they became futile in their thinking, and their foolish hearts were darkened. - Romans 1:18-21

Lord, I come before you on behalf of the people in Kabul, Afghanistan. I pray that you show mercy and open the eyes and soften the hearts of the people there that do not know you. It is not your fault that they do not honor you, since You have made your existence and power clear in creation. But You are merciful and gracious, so I ask you to heal their blindness and cause them to desire to know You rather than suppress the knowledge of you.
